INSIDE THE COLLECTION
Jason’s designs continue to be influenced by combining multi-season functionality and utmost luxury with a refined glamour. Pre Fall 2016 explores the boundaries of creating a dynamic wardrobe that embraces a juxtaposition of masculine and feminine elements. “I wanted to create desirable and truly special pieces."
The season’s inspiration originates from using classic menswear patterns and textiles in a sensual modern way with a couture touch and a focus on texture. A collage of menswear prints in pony skins and starched wool suiting combine into a patchwork pattern that blends American sensibilities. The pigmented color palette, inspired by architect Le Corbusier, uses dark flint melange, flint melange and black to create depth while fawn, adobe, lace blue and dark iris heighten the delicate allure of the collection. The eternal “Prince of Wales” pattern is softened with sheer silk chiffon and enveloped with 3-D flowers applied by hand. Menswear shirting is formalized with sophisticated corset detailing. Innovative indulgences like 2-way zippers running the entire length of seams add meticulous touches to each garment. Diaphanous and fluid fabrics evoke the romance of the collection in slip dresses and cross front drape details.
